Onyxia Blue post : Onyxia's Attunement Removed on Beta Quote: The attunement requirements for Onyxia's Lair have been lifted. The Alliance quests had to be removed due to King Wrynn's return. As I said in the quest forum, we'll try and come back to this one and adjust the questline to work with the current timeline. That won't happen for launch. A shame in a way, the most "difficult" attunement still in the game being removed. But, it's got a positive side as well, you can drag your alts trough there for some quick loot now. I presume this will become a "feat of strength". (Achievement)

Shame they removed the attunment, can remember how difficult it was pre-BC, Finding groups for all the instances and stuff....

    Too bad

Yep, at least you can get 2-3 friends together and get a nice trinket / helm for your new level 60 alt though. Hope they bother to itemize her for death knights. (doubt it though)

I got my Authenticator with the last wave, and have been very happy with it. I had moments of panic during my recent vacation, when I couldn't find it, but other than that, it makes me feel a lot safer from any manipulations of my account.

I actually have never been to Onyxia, despite spending countless weeks and way too many UBRS runs working on the painful Onyxia horde quest chain. I think it will open this encounter to floods of people, especially on horde side.

In my opinion it sucks they are removing the attunments to al the instances. Worked my ass of with my warrior to get attuned to all those instances and now every mother and her son walk into it without any effort. Same with BT and MH, ya see guilds who didn't even killed Vashj or keal'thas but they did kill Rage.

In my opinion you gotta work for your loot and not be able to skip bosses who are to much of a challenge for you, to get to the easier ones

Yeh, it's certainly frustrating to see the mechanics changed in such a way that the stuff you've worked hard for gets changed to become casual friendly later. e.g. BT attunement.

Still, it helps the guild if you're currently progressing there a lot. It was a crazy pain in the ass to have to re-run SSC and TK just to ensure you could bring the new recruits into BT and Hy, it was seriously slowing guilds down.

So it's sort of nice as well.

For onyxia though, rather redundant. I guess it's something you could do with a small group of players anyway, at least now it's not really reserved just for guild alts anymore. The quest IS quite long.

Glad you commented on the authenticator; I had checked yesterday and the ones for the United States were out. As soon as I read your site, I jumped back to the store and saw that we'd be restocked as well. I ordered three, one for my boyfriend and two for friends who had had their accounts compromised in the past.
