Oh thanks for posting this. Ive been meaning to start on this one. Ive been zig zagging across the map trying to finish quests off and should do these as well. Has anyone seen what Loremaster's Colors are anyways? Is it a tabard or does your name change a different color?

    bbr said...

Think it's both actually. Title + tabard.
They wouldn't change your name color since those have a meaning. (red, yellow, blue, green)

I'll post a list for the book reading achievement later.

I do believe there is swine in redridge, near the pig you have to kill. It's been a while since I've done alliance, but I'm sure there's swine there.

I've found rabbits, squirrels, toads and frogs in Nagrand.

I've seen toads around the lake in Darnassus.

Aren't there frogs in Dustwallow Marsh, near Tabetha's hut? I seem to remember this from a quest I did there.

Shut up idiots. This is a COMPLETE list. You don't need to respond with lies. There are NO frogs in Dustwallow, there are NO pigs in Redridge, there are NO rabbits in Nagrand.

    Idiots.

To anonymous: If it were a definite and complete list, the original poster would not have asked for other findings to be listed in comments.

Calling others idiots in the way you have only shows how intelligent you are - not very.

There's a Ewe in Elwynn and Hare in Dun Modan, but they don't count, apparently.

I've used your data to find a route that would allow you to /love all the non-WotLK critters. I've optimized for a hordie.

    Shattrath City: Chicken, Ewe
    Terokkar Forest: Skunk
    Durotar: Hare, Swine
    The Barrens: Gazelle, Prairie Dog
    Un'Goro Crate: Parrot, Toad
    Ashenvale: Deer, Squirrel
    Ghostlands: Crab, Frog
    Wetlands: Ram
Elwynn Forest: Cat, Cow, Fawn, Rabbit, Sheep

Indeed it's not a finalized list.
Searching trough wowhead, wowwiki or thottbot for critters generates some options, but even there you won't have a finalized list.

So I'm trying to get a more complete picture for future reference. Toads do seem to be just about "everywhere" though.

Cheers for the list Pies, that's quite useful.
You mind If I edit that into the post as well?

I saw this before and for those of us after achievements, this works well for me and lets you know with a mouse over if you have "loved" that animal already.

Now its more than that and I am assuming if you are doing this achievement, you are doing others.

    . . . but you know what they say about ASSuming . . .

I just linked it straight from curse.com but for some reason, it will not load with the client, so you might have to manually install it.

There are also crabs along the coast in the Howling Fjord Horde starting area (right next to Vengeance Landing).

    Anonymous said...

... and skunks in Howling Fjord as well (near New Agamond, but I'm pretty sure quite plentiful all over the zone as well).

Forgot to say last post, thankyou very much for starting the list. It's been a great help. Keep on /lovin'!

The Borean Frogs and Steam Frogs can both be found in the Borean Tundra - Steam can be found in a few places but it is easiest to get them both in the same area. Head to Taunka'le Village, right outside the village you will be able to find Steam Frogs then head over to The Geyser Fields for the Borean Frogs. They are both blue frogs.

Guide for Well Read is done. Horde path and all book locations.

    Alliance path probably later.

I think they removed the crabs from ghostlands, can anybody confirm this?
