Farming - BRD

Ahhh, BRD.
Also known as Blackrock Depths.
Hell to some, heaven to others.

It's a fairly long instance, and it was nearly impossible to get a Pug or even guildies crazy enough to kill the emperor at the end of the instance. Usually people would do just 1 run to get MC attuned, and that was it. Though i've done a dozen and few runs to get the "Hand of Justice" back in the days, lovely trinket.

Pre-TBC it was the place i used to get Dark iron in large quantities. Something in the direction of 5 digits worth of ore, and suprisingly i never made it past neutral with the Thorium Brotherhood. So why did i do it? Money money money ofcourse!

This here article should give you some more details on the exact nodes. Ofcourse with the aggro change on mining, and those mobs now being about 14 levels below you, all of them are theoretically safe, you just have to kill more mobs to get the ore. But i was a miner then, which i am no longer. Optimally you'd want to be a miner + enchanter to get the most out of this place.

Now i'm just an enchanter, so when i go in there i do it for the bosses. A full run takes about 30-45 minutes as a rogue or druid. Probably a bit longer if you are another class.

Starting up

I'd recommend speccing to a Hemo Tri-spec of a sorts which is also quite good for raids. This way you can move around a good deal faster in stealth. Also put "Cat's swiftness" or such on your boots.

I'll assume you've gotten the Shadowforge Key, if not read this article on how to get it.

BRD is a fairly large instance, and hosts about 19 bosses, plus a rare.
For the sake of time and effort each boss takes, i don't generally kill all of them.
A few such examples are Bael'gar, the prison block, and the arena event, but other than that most of them die easily enough.

Bael'gar i skip because he's a pain, he doesn't hit too hard but summons adds, and his flamestrike when unresisted will eventually kill you. A druid will undoubtly have an easier task at him. Aside that, he drops junk so it's not worth using fire absorbtion either.
High interrogator gerstahn only drops crap which disenchants into small shards, if these sell at all they'd only go for about 1-2g on the AH. You'd be better off finishing the instance and resetting it for another run if you have the time.

The Start

So, here goes.
Once you enter head left and unlock the door.
Head right then left to get to the halls of law, where Lord Roccor and the houndmaster reside. Kill them, loot them, then head back to the start.
You should be able to ignore all the dogs in the hallway, they'll point your way and bark, but due to the level difference they should ignore you other than that.
Roccor can drop an enchanting pattern which might sell for a couple of gold, and a feral druid item which disenchants nicely. Other than that the houndmaster doesn't drop much but he's "right there", so why not eh?
The arena isn't too bad, and if you've done the quest The Challenge which is part of the Tier 0.5 chain, you'll have a shot at an extra shard as well.

Hall of Crafting

The next target is Lord Incendius.
Small chance to drop the Ace of Elementals which still sells for a decent penny.
When he's dead keep going and you'll find Fineous Darkvire staring right at you.
He's a lovely fella who can heal, stun, and hits quite decently. He also drops the "Master builder's shirt". It's a lovely dark shirt which goes well with all rogueish gear, be sure to get yours asap !
Continue your way up the ramp and straight into the left door to reach the vault.
Be sure to open the dark keeper's portrait so you can kill him later. (you're almost guaranteed to run into him later). The box his key opens contains a random greeny for extra cash.
Kill warden Stilgiss and his pet Verek.

If you've done these runs a number of times you'll notice you get something called a "dark coffer key". If you have 12 of these, use them here. Otherwise, save them up until you have 12.
Once you unlock the 12th vault the golems will activate, just evasion / blade flurry etc.
Make sure you loot "everything" (hopefully you planned ahead and have enough inventory space for this), all the gray crap will sell quite nicely and every little bit adds up. Especially the documents which sell for +- 50s ea, and the "fat sack of coins" which contain about 1g. Under no condition should you ever open the gem bags, they'll clutter your inventory.
As a special bonus you also get the small box in the middle with some random green / blue loot.

Pyromancer Loregrain

Out of the room then straight left, the dogs you "can" stealth past but you can also just kill them.
Go across the bridge and straight to Pyromancer loregrain.
He can drop a nice pattern which you should be able to sell for ~50g.
If you get the staff / wand as a blue, fizzwidget's disenchant predictor will tell you that it'll probably disenchant into a small shard and so it'll be smarter to just sell it to the vendor rather than disenchant it. (4-5g vendor, or 1-2g AH, easy math)
Head a little bit back, around the ring then down, unlock the trigger to open the bridge then head upstairs and across the bridge.

Barracks

Now you'll reach a somewhat larger room with 6 fire elementals in it. Down to the left is General Angerforge, use bladeflurry early, if you kill and loot fast you should be able to stealth away before the adds come.

Head up and straight down on the other side, at the end of this hall you'll find Golem Lord Argelmach.
His loot is worth a Large Brilliant shard, but you'd have to clear the entire room before him as well as his 2 golems to get it.
The technicians can drop 2 different engineering patterns, and there's another engineering pattern on the ground next to him, as well as a random blacksmithing pattern on 1 of the tables (though not always) so it might be worth it to you.
I tend to skip him and head right across the bridge and into the bar.

The Bar

The bar is an interesting place, with a whole bunch of things to kill and loot /evilgrin.
First, head left into the store room.
Open the 3 barrels, and 4 dwarfes should come running in.
One of them is Hurley Blackbreath, who will drop a nice shiney blue for you to disenchant or sell.
Next, just outside the room you are standing is a guy called Ribbly Screwspigot and some of his cronies. Talk to Ribbly (you might have had to do the quest before, not sure) and they'll aggro. If you run back to the storage room you should be fine, and if you're fast enough only his cronies will aggro.
Just single pull ribbly after. He tends to drop junk that you can't disenchant quite often sadly, but still, 70 silver isn't bad for a quick kill.

Now the fun bit, to get out of this room you have a number of options.
Personally i just look for Mistress Nagmara, and tell her to go someplace private with her lover. This will cause her to open the door.
Alternatively, you could pickpocket the bartender.
And as another alternative, you could feed Private Rocknot some mugs of ale to get him to start a funny little sequence. ( i recommend doing this at least once for comedy value )
Phalanx can't be attacked unless you start a riot, so that's what we'll do.

Be sure to talk to Lokthos Darkbargainer to sell some of your gray junk and free some inventory space. This will save you an early trip to the nearest mailbox.

Go to the bar.
Now, if you don't wish to fight the patrons next to the bar (blade flurry who cares?) you can lure them to Lokthos by tossing beer mugs on the floor and luring them away from the bar. This causes them to be stunned so they won't call for help.
Simply kill Plugger Spazzring and the whole bar will become "hostile".
Phalanx will also block the door and need to be killed.
Mind that plugger can drop the "Goblin Jumper Cables X" pattern which are still quite high in demand.
Proceed to Phalanx fast, as usually a patrol will come to block that door quite soon after.
Pull him trough the door and down the steps as the last thing you'll want to do is aggro a table with mixed elites and non elites to be zerged to a likely death.

Down and left you'll find a large room where Ambassador Flamelash awaits you.
Once dead head left again and if lucky you'll find Panzor.
If not you can skip trough this room to the chamber of the seven, or kill the mobs there as they have a chance to drop yet another engineering recipe. (nothing special though)

The Seven

Once in the room, Gloom'rel to your right is able to teach you how to smelt dark iron ore into dark iron bars.
He'll request you bring 20 Gold bars, 10 Truesilver bars, and 2 Star Rubies as payment.
Talk to Doom'rel to start the event. Kill them all, bandage if needed and loot the chest for 2 nice blues.
Trough this door and to the right you'll see a bridge with fire elementals (and usually some more dark iron). To the left is where you can smelt your dark iron, or across the bridge is where you can complete the Molten Core attunement or simply enter MC.
This here is your fastest point of exit, remember it well.

The Lyceum

Back and to the right you'll find the door to the lyceum.
It's a large room infested with hundreds of annoying dwarfes that like nothing than to respawn ridiculously fast and zerg your unsuspecting ass like the vile little... err, well, you get the idea.
Your task in this room is to find two Shadowforge Flame Keepers and bring their torches to the right side of the room in order to open the doors.
They have very low health so it's doable quite fast.
The torches have a 5 minute lifetime so i recommend using blade flurry to get the first one, and just vanish after you loot the second one.
Proceed to Magmus, easy fight just nuke it.

The Emperor

Now, the tedious part. If you aggro the emperor, every npc in the room will come along to help him.
So, to get his 2 shards you have to clear the room.
It's not so bad as they drop loads of gray junk that you can sell, decent cash, and above all keys for your next run.
Just go wild with blade flurry, pull as much as you think you can handle and have fun.

Once the room is clear you can pull the emperor.
If you're on a certain quest it asks you to keep the princess alive.
But... kill the ugly sow anyway because she's the princess of Ironforge.
Finally, take a seat in your throne as the new emperor of BRD.

Overview

Once you're all done, invite a friend or guildy while running back to the molten core entrance.
Convert your party to a raid, and enter, then exit.
This should put you back with the blood elf that gives the attunement quest.

Average spoils :
* 12-14x Large brilliant shard : 5-7g at AH : ~78g
* 15-25g from trash drops & sold blues.
* 3-4 Small Brilliant shards : 1-2g at AH : ~4g 50s
* 120-150 Dark Iron residue : 1s per
* 2-6 Black Diamond : 3g
* 50-70 Runecloth : 5-6g
* 30-50 Dark Iron Scraps : ~1g
* 4-6 Core of Elements : 12s
* 0 Dark iron ore : 0g (not included in this run, if you were a miner all the golems have a small chance to drop some as well)
* Patterns - None this run, but 4 yesterday, it's pretty random.
* Potential extra bonus : Pattern: black dragonscale breastplate from plugger's vendor option. costs 2g 20s, but should be possible to sell on the AH for 10g or more.

Repair cost : 1g 25s
Estimated value of this run : 115g
Estimated time per run : 40 Minutes

In the end the profits aren't "huge" by any means.
Farming some Primal Air will likely get you 200-250g an hour without much trouble.

Still, it's fun enough to do something else for a change ;)

Second run, Timetable :
* 14m : Reached bar
* 17m : Killed Ambassador Flamelash
* 20m : Reached lyceum
* 23m : Reached The Imperial Seat
* 31m : Emperor Dead
* 33m : Outside & Ready to go again.

Unexpected encounters

So here i was, almost exalted with CE (yeah i know i slack with that), farming Steamvault with some others. And i get a whisper... "hello" So i check, Lvl 1... Damn goldspammers getting smarter by the day /grumble Turns out it was a reader of the blog ! He notified me of this here post on the World of Raids forum, done by some "Zurg". Obviously that isn't me, as i don't even have an account on their forums. But it's still cute to see parts of the blog being copied. Even though i'd prefer to be notified of that sooner. The good guy was honorable enough to link the source, so it's all good. But please, register on the forums under your own name next time ;) Anyway, for those interested, i did a small update based on the reactions of that post to Chapter 3 of the gold making guide. Enjoy ! And a further update, my mage hit lvl 52 a few days ago as intended. I got his Jewelcrafting up to 352 before gains just, stopped. I went trough 2 stacks of gems on a green craft, and not a single gain. I guess blizzard wants me to start using the blue quality gems now. I've sold about 300 Gingerbread Cookies (you know, those things that need small eggs) for about 3-4g per 5. This netted about 200g so far, not a lot, but all bits add up. If i was a lvl 40 trying to scrape up money for a mount, i'd have been done and set for in less than a few hours. Keep in mind i didn't farm for the eggs. Wut? I was farming 99 light feathers for my hunter's quiver, the eggs were a bonus, and thus basically paid for the primal nether. Also got my shaman to lvl 70 today, and bought him his epic mount to get around quicker. He's got nearly all quests in BEM, Netherstorm, and SMV still available to him, at 12-18g profit per quest. Beat that with doing dailies, i dare you. (So that makes 4 characters each with an epic flying mount now, as well as 1 character with a 5 slot personal guild bank) Never say the guide doesn't work ;)

It's the season

Horrible christmas songs on the radio 24/7, the same crud 10x a day.
The season of stores trying to brainwash you with commercials about why their product is better than the next one.
Having to spend loads of money on family members to prevent yourself getting dug into the ground with guilt and other junk.
At least there's plenty of candy to go around!

Ah well, i'm sure some people enjoy it, but i'm generally not one of them.
Either way i "do" have 2 weeks off work, so i'll be spending some time levelling my mage up somewhat. The goal is to get at least lvl 50 which should be quite doable.
If not for the fact that i got a new scanner and have been doodling somewhat.
I'll show you some later. Updates will probably be somewhat slacking until the new year starts. Just so you know.

Buying a gaming rig

How much did you, or do you intend to spend on your new gaming computer?
Are you going for a PC, Mac, Linux? Desktop of Laptop? Will you build it yourself, or buy a prefab from the store?

There's a dozen more questions you can ask yourself, and most people won't know the answer to at least half fo them.
So, where to start? How much are you willing to spend?

Dell has just come up with this little promo in the hope of attracting some Horde and Alliance players to their new XPS laptops.
The estimate price of this system at the time of writing this is about $4,499, or about €3000, and they still offer you about $2000 worth of expansions and upgrades that you "could" add to it.
Are you willing to spend $6000 on a gaming pc, that will be outdated in less than a few monts? Even though you get a pretty awesome coupon with it.
Are laptops any good for gaming to begin with? Personally i don't think so.

Call me a critic, but why spend $5000 on a laptop that is "guaranteed" perform less than a desktop with the same specs, and the desktop will only cost you about $2000 ?

Let's take a look at the 2 options.

Benefits of a laptop :
* It's mobile, you could work upstairs, downstairs, etc.
* Doesn't take much space on your desk.
* Laptops use about 1/3 the power of a desktop, thus reducing the overall cost over time.
* You could combine your home / work computer in 1.
* Less sound production than a desktop (cooling fans), some laptops are very noticeable though.

Cons of a laptop :
* If any part breaks you'll need to send the "entire" thing to the repair guy, instead of just the broken part. You'll be without your computer for weeks.
* Heat generation. Especially high end laptops have a tendency to get really hot, making it close to impossible to really use as a "lap-top" and slouch on the couch. Basically they're to be used as desktops.. on a desk.
* Upgrading parts is almost impossible.
* Ergonomics, laptop keyboards are horrible to work on imo, and you'll want to get an external keyboard and mouse at the very least. But, you won't be dragging that keyboard around with you everywhere.
* Wireless networking is great if it's secure, but a major liability otherwise.
* You're stuck with a LCD / TFT monitor, which has it's own disadvantages. As long as those aren't widely available at 1:ms refresh times, i'd personally prefer CRT.

Benefits of a desktop :
* More power for less cost
* Parts are easy to upgrade, and a lot cheaper than the laptop variations. You can easily replace your monitor, diskdrive, memory, keyboard or mouse.
* Room to upgrade, you can buy a different main/motherboard get a bigger case, and add 2 video cards if you wished to do so.
* If you find your desktop to be too loud, you can change the cooling devices to suit your needs. Water cooling, bigger fans, etc.

Cons of a desktop :
* Noise, desktops can be quite loud if you don't have the proper parts for it.
* Bulky and immobile. Ofcourse you can drag is up and downstairs all you like, but not many people do.

And finally reliability.
* The average desktop lasts 2-5 years. Mine's working ok enough for about 6 years now, but it's time to find a replacement sometime soon.
* The average laptop lasts 2-3 years. Your battery, keyboard, and most likely your monitor will be the first to give up on you.
A major benefit of desktops mentioned earlier, is that its easy to replace or upgrade parts to improve their lifespan.

The investment
So, how much are you planning to spend? 1000? 2000? more?
Keeping in mind the 2-3-5 years rule, desktops are a lower cost per month of it's lifetime.
Looking at an example of Moore's Law applied to intel technologies.
Currently we're looking at the 45nm processors, in 2 years we'll be able to buy them with 32 nm, and another 2 years later they'll be baked with a 22nm process to allow even more transistors and more speed.
Intel sure isn't slowing down anytime soon. As faster processors become available, older ones are made cheaper.

So, what to buy? The latest tech, or something a year or 2 older?

I would suggest setting an estimate of 1500-2000 for buying new computers, but it really depends on your own budget.
There really isn't a lot of point in buying the absolute latest high tech material "today" if 1 year later you can get the same tech for half the price.
Building your own computer is very cost effective, but if you have no clue at all what to put into it, you might end up spending more than you would by simply buying a premade one from the store. If you got a smart cousin or friend that does this for a living, i recommend asking him. It might save you 500-1000, or simply get you a much faster computer.

For example, at about €1139 you can get a Dell XPS 420 ready made and delivered to your doorstep.
* Intel® Core2 Quad (2,40 GHz, 8 MB, 1.066 MHz), 4G ram, 2x250Gb HD Raid 0, Vista(ugh), 256 MB nVidia™ GeForce 8600GTS, DVD Burner, no monitor though.

For the same money, you could build yourself a PC with
* Intel® Core2 Quad (2,40 GHz, 8 MB, 1.066 MHz), 4G ram, 720Gb HD, Windows XP (ftw), 512 MB ATI Radeon™ X1950 Pro, DVD Burner, CD Burner, and again no monitor.

If you're Dutch i'd recommend looking at Tweakers.net sometime, alternatively there's Tom's Hardware to help you out configure and sort trough available hardware products and providers.

For ready made products you could look at Dell, HP, Gateway, Apple and probably dozens of others.

How to make gold - 3

Farming The most obvious way to get what items you need is by farming for it. Farming can be tedious business, and because of this i highly recommend combining multiple farming actions into 1 session. Based on market prices, or your ability to farm a certain mob, you need to decide what to farm. Some modifiers: * You need scryer reputation * Your alt needs aldor reputation * You want to work on your sword skill * You need cash badly and fast * The AH value of primal air is huge at the moment * You need to farm some basilisk meat for the raid tomorrow * You're working on your cooking skill and need fish or meat * You have some quests in a certain area that include killing a lot of mobs or a friend that needs certain mobs killed for a quest * You are trying to collect a certain recipe for your crafting profession * You (as a hunter) have recently trained a new pet, and it needs levels or loyalty You see, there's all sorts of activities you can combine to make the farming more worthwhile. The core business however, is what to farm. Some examples of items that are commonly in demand (more near the bottom of this post) : * Arcane dust / Planar Essenses / Prismatic Shards. These are more of a side product while farming however. * Aldor / Scryer reputation items * Primal Air, Primal Water, Primal Fire, etc. * Reputation or Quest items such as: Unidentified plant parts, stranglethorn pages, certain meats, netherwing ore. * Gems, Ore, Herbs, Leather, etc. But those were already handled fairly well in section 2. Just pick something randomly, see if it's on the auction house and check the value. Now, a key figure that many people forget is "when" to farm. Obviously between 1300-1700 server time, all the farmers will be out and about farming anything that's profitable. If you can start early, or late at night you'll have less competition, and so more profit. However, "when to farm" doesn't only relate to the server time. It also requires you to look and compare the auction prices of popular items. Supply & Demand you know? For example, one day there are 20 Primal Air on the AH for about 30g each. Another day, there's 5 Primal Air on the AH for about 50g each. You see what i'm thinking? I hope you have a stockpile of Primal Air, because it's a good time to sell some when the supply is fairly low and people are busy and about farming for them. They'll get tired of farming, check the AH, and notice your sales there which should be priced just that little bit below the competition. Profit! Now, when there's 20 Primal Air already on the AH, don't bother listing yours, Just stockpile some extra. When an item is readily available on the AH it's also a lot less likely that people will be out in the world farming for the item. Not much difference though, perhaps 10-15% but enough to make a difference. Another thing you could do, is try to influence the AH supply and demand, by buying all the cheap items yourself, and relisting them for the higher price. Keep in mind that this will require some practice, and involves a lot of risk, time and starting money to do properly. But it can pay off bigtime and can be done with nearly any type of item available from the Auction House. If do you plan to do this, i recommend starting small, Copper, Iron, Mithril would be good candidates. One small thing to note however, is that Blizzard has made a statement that your server actually "tracks" how much of a certain item (primal air for example) is available, and regularly adjusts the mob drop chance of these items to create a medium. Obviously i can't really test this, and many such rumors are just urban legend and supersticion. An example would be, that if there's 100 primal air available on the AH, that the mob droprate of motes of air would be reduced by about 2%. Not so much that you'd really notice it unless you farm for several hours straight, but enough to reduce the input of primal airs into the economy. If there's only 1-2 Primal airs on the AH, the server would "increase" the droprate by 2% thus making sure that the farmers will have a very good day indeed. Farming hotspots * Deviate fish : Wailing Caverns (just outside the instance portal works best) * Copper : Ghostlands works quite well, Dun moroch, and Durotar. * Iron : I get a lot of my iron from Arathi highlands, with the occassional mithril. * Mithril : The hinterlands work very nice. * Thorium : Silithus, especially now that the mobs aren't elite anymore in the hives. * Adamantite : Nagrand is commonly known to be a good spot, but exactly because of that, it's not. Try Shadowmoon, or netherstorm if you're trying to farm during the more busy hours of the day. * Primal Air : Nagrand for Engineers, Elemental plateau is rather crowded and doesn't have much spawn points, Shadowmoon valley both north and south side. * Primal Fire : North side of Blade's edge, Elemental plateau - again rather crowded, Shadowmoon valley. Miners will also get these quite frequently from mining on netherwing ledge in shadowmoon, or mining fel iron. * Primal Mana : Engineers can fly around Netherstorm, lots drop in Karazhan, herbalists will pick up the occassional one from netherbloom, and there's a great spot southeast in netherstorm as well to farm these. * Primal Life : Zangarmarsh northeast works "okish", herbalists will get these from just about any plant and can also get them from killing the giants in Skettis (terrokar)` * Primal Water : Engineers can fly around Zangarmarsh, or if you have decent fishing these can be obtained pretty fast by just fishing "all" pools of special fish in nagrand / terrokar highs. (make sure you get the fish tracking book) * Primal Shadow : A bit tricky to get now that demons no longer drop them but netherstorm Manaforge Ultis (i think) has a lot of void elementals around it. There's also a number of them southeast and south in hellfire peninsula but their droprate is a lot lower. And if you are an engineer, you can fly around Shadowmoon. * Primal Earth : These are quite easy to get and very commonly drop from Adamantite ore spots as a miner. Also available from (again) the elemental plateau, as well as the south side of nagrand. * Aldor rep items : A great place is the west side of shadowmoon, or north side of netherstorm. * Scryer rep items : Netherstorm has loads of farm spots, and there's a good spot south in shadowmoon. Make sure you check thott as some of these can also drop a recipe for enchanters. * Medium leather : There's a little hidden grove in the north side of Ashenvale where there are a number of "worgen". They spawn incredibly fast and should be able to provide you with more corpses than you can skin. * Rugged leather : Winterspring, yeti cave. If you're a miner as well there's the occassional rich thorium here too. * Knothide leather : Nagrand works quite well. If you can skin the clefthoof bulls you'll also be getting clefthoof meat which can be cooked into strength food, and more importantly "Thick Clefthoof Leather" which is worshipped by all tanking classes and twinks and usually sells quite easily. * Cobra Scales : These can be farmed near a cave in the north side of shadowmoon, or in the west side of nagrand. Personally i prefer the nagrand spot, you can ignore the birds even though they are "red". * Small eggs : It's christmas soon, that means eggs will be in demand. The absolute best spot to get these is westfall. There used to be a graveyard with 5 unlimited spawn points next to each other but that one's been nerfed sadly. Another hotspot is still available directly east of Sentinel Hill, but the birds share a spawn cycle with the boars there. Don't let this deter you however, just kill anything that spawns. Ranged class recommended. * Primal Nether : You can farm those? Well, not so much, but if you're a member of a good guild you can clear Karazhan in 3-4 hours and get 22 heroic badges. 20 badges = 2 nethers. Not amazing profit as you can only do it once a week, but you'd get plenty of void crystals on top of that as well.

Character Planning - 2

While this should probably have been said before "Part 1", it's still quite useful information. After all, you usually make your so called "main" character first anyway. If you're planning to settle on a server, it helps to look at your long term goals. * Are you planning to PvP a lot? * Do you plan to twink any characters? * Are you planning to dive into Hardcore Raiding? * Are you a casual player, or plan to make a dozen alts on all sorts of servers? So, what use do you have for Alts? There are several very good reasons for choosing and making your alts as early as possible. If you're planning to just play casual, and enjoy the game at your own pace, i doubt you'll find this info to be much use, but read on anyway. There's a few things you'll want to know. * Just about every single person on your server has at least 1 alt, in due time so will you. * At least 80% has more than one. * Most people use an extra character for storing their extra items. A so called "bank alt". * If you plan to be a support / healer class in a raiding environment, it's highly recommended to make a dps character alt for grinding. * If you make your alts early, you'll have to worry less about giving them names later on. Ensuring the name you want is reserved for your own use is thus a smart thing to do. * As soon as you've created your alts, they'll start earning rested XP which will thus reduce the time you need to spend on levelling them. * Levelling alts is a good way to get money, cloth, trash greens for your main character. Professions A large part of the game content is based on professions. These can be used to make all sorts of support gear for your characters, or people in your guild. There are also gathering professions which can be used to farm resources you'll find on your travels, mining, herbalism and skinning are the main ones. As described in part in this post, starting your characters off with 2 gathering professions will allow them to save up a lot of cash early and give them plenty of spending funds to obtain your flying mounts sooner than others. It's entirely possible to level a skill like blacksmithing, leatherworking or tailoring as you gain levels yourself, but i don't recommend it. You'll spend precious time running around farming stuff (on foot) while you could be going about doing quests and getting your character stronger and better. I've done this back in the days when i just started playing the game, both characters ended up having to grind money before they could get their lvl 40 mount. My third character however, already had ~300 gold before he was anywhere near level 40 and could easily afford his raptor. Now, what you'll need to consider is as follows. You want to be getting your characters at a high level fast, and have enough cash to buy what you need (mount). At the later end of the game you'll want to change your main character's gathering professions into something that will benefit you in PvP or PvE as there are a number of Bind on Pickup recipes and crafted items since TBC was released. At the lower levels, any metals, leather, and cloth you farm can be given to guild members or other people in order to have them craft the items you need. This will save you a lot of time and above all.. money. There's really not much need to start off with a crafting profession unless you're either a clueless noob as i was back then, or a masochist. Keep in mind that it's much easier to raise a skill from 0-375 as a lvl 70 character. Knowing this, here's a simple example to plan your characters: * Main character : Mining + Skinning until level 70. Enchanting + Jewelcrafting at lvl 70. * Alt1 : Herbalism + Skinning : Drop skinning when he hits lvl 70 and get Alchemy to make your own potions. * Alt2 : Mining + Skinning * Alt3 : Mining + Skinning or Tailoring to make greens for raising your main's enchanting Make sure you save up as much cloth as you can to raise your alt's first aid skill early and fast. Make at least 4 characters, level them to lvl 5 so they can pick up the professions, then log them out at the inn. This ensures that while you're working on your main character the other 3 will all be slowly gaining rested XP at a rate of 1 bar per 8 hours (5%) up to a maximum of 150%. And, when you work on these alts, your main will also be gaining rested XP so in the end you'll always have some characters gaining rested XP while you play the others. My characters currently look like this : * Lvl 70 dps main : Engineer + Enchanter : Nice BoP helmet, raid utility + ring enchants. * Lvl 70 dps alt : Tailor + Enchanter : To make bags, and disenchant stuff. * Lvl 70 dps alt : Miner + Skinner : To supply my main's engineering skill with materials * Lvl 68 healer alt : Herbalism + Herbalism : To make potions for my main. * Lvl 32 dps alt : Miner + Jewelcrafter : Money making, will explain at a later date, stay tuned. I boosted him to 225 JC as soon as he hit lvl 20. * Lvl 4 alt : no professions, but a lot of stuff in the (private guild) bank * Lvl 4 alt : to check the opposing faction's auction house. You'll notice i got 2 enchanters. This wasn't intended from the start, as it was possible before TBC to simply disenchant anything at any level. He was a lvl 1 disenchanting mule for ages, but i was forced to level him 35, 55, and eventually figured i'd just get him to 70. He provided my main with a lot of enchanting materials troughout his lifetime. I could drop enchanting and give him leatherworking, or blacksmithing, but tbh, when WotlK comes out i'll level this guy up as well and get a large number of shards and crystals from disenchanting quest rewards. More tips later, i think today's post is long enough for now :)

Is the Pre-TBC content still fun?

Our guild never managed to really get started with the Temple of AQ (BC started just as we had killed nefarian twice), but i did manage to get a hold of the Broodlord's head, and thus was able to farm the silithid carapaces. I've been doing this on and off before the patch, but the grind was dreadfully slow and boring. With the new patch kindly removing the elite status of all the critters in Silithus, i figured this was as good a time as any to grind my rep up with Nozdormu. So, this last friday with the kind help of a few guild members we farmed the last few stacks and got my reputation up to neutral. This opened a wide range of quests for me to play with. With the potential for a few interesting and unique rewards somewhere along the line. I know the food isn't in particularly useful, since you can get the Spicy Crawdad, but still it's damn fun to do these quests so far. And as for the ring, well... i suppose i could get this trinket sometime. But the ring can be used in combat, and being a rogue i can't use the hydrocane. The other rewards will likely end up as Nexus crystal. Alliance This afternoon i got to the point where i had to talk to the Forest Whisp in Darnassus. Alliance town. No problem i'm a rogue and managed to found the whisp easily enough. But then, i figured i'm in the middle of a major Alliance capital, lets kill some noobs. Teldrassyl I went to the lowbie starting area, which was guarded by 6 fairly weak stealth detecting guards. Standing around for a bit, and sure enough somebody attacked me! Seriously, i can't help but wonder what goes trough the mind of these low level players that gives them the insane notion that they can take even a moderate percentage of my health down ? Either way, it wasn't long before i had a dozen of lovely red health bars jumping around me trying to kill me, only to face swift retribution by my sword. Initially i'd only kill anything that shot me more than once and just /dance or /lick the others. But after a while our Main Tank decided he wanted part of the action and flew over as well. Long story short, we spent 2-3 hours killing anything and everything that moved. It was a massacre, but bloody hell it was FUN! Quest Progress Currently working on the rest of the blue shard quest, it's got an annoying ammount of flying north, south, north, south which seems to be intended to keep you busy. But eventually i'll finish it. Next up: The 4 dragons, nefarian, onyxia, and ragnaros. Hopefully i can stir enough people to help clear those for old time's sake ;)

Geek toys for WoW

Whether it's the best thing to be invented since chocolate i can't say... but still, this is pretty damn cool.

This american company has a $19.900 - $49.900 worth 3D printer sitting at their office (possibly more than one) which allows them to literally "print" a 3D model of your favourite warcraft model into an actual little figure.
Also see their FAQ.

The site doesn't "officially" open until 11'th December 2007, but i figure you'd enjoy a preview still.
Each little figure costs you about $99, which when converted puts it at about 67,09 Euros (excl shipping). This seems pretty cheap if you compare it to other companies selling miniatures like this, especially custom made ones.

The bad news however.... they don't ship to europe (yet). So make sure you send them many an email requesting them to start shipping these little guys to europe as soon as possible.

The people over at GamingSteve have some more pictures for you to look at as well.

The colors aren't too bad, but if you compare the work to some of the insanely well done stuff that some people do to their warhammer figures, you'll notice it's actually a bit bland compared to actual paint. Their methods are fully automated, hence the low cost. If for those 67 euros you aren't satisfied with the default printed colors, you could always have them re-painted by an expert or even do it yourself.
I'm sure It's just a matter of taste, some might prefer the bright paint colors we have in game, others might prefer the deskjet printed colors that FigurePrints puts on the models.

Still, call me a geek, but i want one, possibly more than one.

Also interesting, some guy made some anime PVC figures of some of his characters, with mount and all. And you could always make one with clay if you have those skills.
If all else fails, you can always just dress yourself up like a true geek.

Silence, i kill you !

Jeff dunham has been voted ventriloquist of the year twice so far. Type in his name into YouTube and you'll see why.

While it's not directly warcraft related, here's a sample that should crack you up, 10.47 min pure pleasure.
What are you waiting for, infidel, click!

We've had this video on our guild website for a while now, and if you've just seen it you will understand why the words "silence, i kill you" can often be heard on our TeamSpeak server during raids.

It's funny how small things turn into a guild wide joke at some point.

Another pretty common guild meme is to always blame [name], no matter what went wrong.
Tank pulled wrong? Ninjapull? Lag? 1% wipe? Healer forgot reagents? Just blame [name].
We tend to vary the person we blame on a weekly basis, but usually we fall back to a few special people.
Don't worry, they're used to it.

2.3.2 PTR Hemo change

Currently in 2.3.0 this is 125% with a 10 charge 36 damage buff applied on hit. A change of -15% weapon damage, and 10*6 buff damage. If i run my gear trough the spreadsheet found in this post, I come up with the following values : Personal DPS * 2.3.0 : 1447.27 * 2.3.2 : 1432.37 A decrease of about 15 DPS My total Raid DPS with Hemo buff included * 2.3.0 : 1563.73 * 2.3.2 : 1562.11 An small decrease of about 1.6 DPS. So, my personal dps gets kicked down a bit, as does the total raid's dps. It's disappointing to say the least, even though it's all theory. My gear is 4/5 T5, everything SSC and TKE have to offer (still working on Kael though). Ignore the riding crop if it's there. Perhaps someone using T6 will see different results, but i expect the relative values to be fairly much the same. In theory however the tank threat gets a small buff due to the larger hemo buff, this should allow mages and the like to do a tiny bit more damage before overaggroing. I suppose we'll have to manage, though why of all things blizzard would choose 42 is anyone's guess.

Spinesever on the PTR

If you're on the PTR at any time you'll notice that the Spinesever throwing dagger has gotten it's stats changed to something a lot more realistic. You can check the wowhead comments for details. Math by user: gokpog [Spinesever] (live): ilvl 100 +17 Agility +12 Stamina Equip: Improves hit rating by 17. Equip: Increases attack power by 20. ItemValue = [(17*1)^1,5 + (12*0,667)^1,5 + (17*1)^1,5 + (20*0,5)^1,5)] ^ 0,667 = 33,6 ItemSlotValue = 33,6 * 3,33 = 111,8 ilvl = 111,8 * 1,3 + 1,3 = 146,6 Spinesever (2.3.2 PTR): ilvl 100 +11 Agility +12 Stamina Equip: Improves hit rating by 10. Equip: Increases attack power by 20. ItemValue = [(11*1)^1,5 + (12*0,667)^1,5 + (10*1)^1,5 + (20*0,5)^1,5)] ^ 0,667 = 24,7 ItemSlotValue = 33,6 * 3,33 = 82,2 ilvl = 111,8 * 1,3 + 1,3 = 108 The math listed shows it with enough stats to be ilvl 108, so it's not unlikely to be reduced a bit more before the patch is released. At least it's no longer the ridiculously overpowered item that beats a Black Temple drop such as Twisted Blades of Zarak. But still a very nice thing to find in a lockbox. I hope you're not one of those suckers that spend 3000g on the AH for this one. But then again, any realistic thinking rogue could have anticipated this one. I don't feel sorry for you if you did.

Character Planning - 1

Whether you're a new player, or just getting started on another server, you'll be faced with the eventual question.
What do i name my character, avatar or toon.
Some players refer to it as their toon, which in all aspects is just wrong. Avatar is the correct term, though blizzard most commonly refers to it as your character.

The absolute number 1 rule when making naming your character is : Be creative.
Seriously, I pity the poor unimaginative retard that keeps coming up with crap like: Superman, Spiderman, Cowhunter, OrcWarrior, ElfMage, FrostMage, DikkeKoe, Hunter-DK, Mage-DK.
Need i go on? And it's not just 1 of their characters that they name that way either. Every single effin one of them.

At this point in time you've been staring at the character screen for a couple of minutes and have tried the name of every single one of your well known idols or heroes, but sadly found them to be taken. Sucks to be you.
Now, either you could solve this like an average sugar high 12 year old and randomly add letters and phrases to the name you initially wanted so that you can get that character created as fast as possible and finally start playing.
Even though this method obviously fails in so many levels.

For example:
Legolas. Damnit taken.
Legolass, darn also taken.
Legolasss, wtf?
Lhegolas, darnation.
Leeghoolass, damnit also taken.
xxLegolasxx, damnit what's wrong with this game !?
XxLeeghooliasXx, woot lets play !

I'm sure you remember this comic?

Or you could be relaxed about it, after all you'll be stuck with this name for a long time unless you want to spend about 10$ on it at a later time.
Your in game name reflects part of your personality, it needs to be unique and stand out in a crowd, and yet it needs to be easy to remember for any potential friends of customers.
Also consider this, if you were a guild leader and had 2 people apply to your guild, let's say : Arthuris, and XxLeeghooliasXx.
Without looking as the rest of those 2 applications, who would you presume is the more mature minded person ?

So, let's get started, hit google and type in "Random Name Generator".
In absolutely no time you will find a dozen different types of generators, all who are willing to help you find a nice name for your character. (Yes i just said character there)

Alternatively you could look for a site that lists baby names. No i'm not kidding. Just hit google again and type in "baby names", you'd end up at a site like this with over 35000 names to pick from. I'm sure they'll have something that can be used, right?

Obviously not all of the random names will be very good to use, but there's a few gems that you may run into.
Once you found a name, type it into Warcraft Realms, and check if it's really as unique as you think. Ultimately you'll be the only person in the whole world with that exact name.
As long as nobody copies you, you'll be truly unique. I could imagine this having an added value on a RP server.

So, that's the name part taken care of.
Level 1 - Noob.

Small update

Dark Legacy have uploaded their 119'th comic.
Today's subject being the heroic badges. Where do they come from hmm?

Also, i've made the blog text area a bit wider. This should cut down on the scrolling.
Comments and suggestions are welcome.

How to make gold - 2

If you're a regular raider and either losing money with 50g daily repair bills + potons + reagents, or barely cutting equal you'll enjoy the knowledge that making money is in fact quite easy. All it requires is a little effort. I'll highlight the most commonly known ones : * Farming, this includes either farming mobs, fishing, mining, etc. * Pray for lucky drops, basically the same as farming but much less reliable. * Daily quests, if you have a lot of high level alts this can make a nice bunch of cash with minimal effort. * Play the auction house, buy low sell high. * Blackmail your guild leader, don't ask. * Re-selling white vendor recipes, people are lazy you can make a profit out of this. * Disenchanting, whether it's crafted items, or cheap junk off the auction house. * Speedlevelling alt characters, at lvl 70 each quest you complete gives about 12-18g each. * Scam people, don't do this you will get banned. Plus you'll need a good reputation to make reliable money. Scamming is bad, don't do it. * Selling enchants, rare recipe crafts and generally spamming the "trade" channel in a public city. Firstly i'd like to make you aware of the following thread on the Elitist Jerks forum about the art of making gold. It's a nice read and i can higly recommend checking it out sometime. Now, depending on your class, spec and gear you might want to consider your options. Obviously mob-farming isn't quite as effective as a healer than it would be for a full epic warlock, mage or rogue. Even if you were to equip your dps gear. So, among the options listed earlier, you'd have to decide which is best for you. I'll give more details on each subject later. Daily Quests A recent addition to the game is Daily quests, some of these such as: * Cooking quest 7g * Fires over Skettis : 12g * The relic's emanations 9g * Bomb them again 12g * Wrangle more aether rays 12g * Booterang! 12g * Picking up the pieces 18g Obviously there are more quests you can do, but these seven are all quite easy to do even for a healer, and in total they pay about 80g While the profit per hour is somewhat low, it's good money for very little effort, and minimal risk of death or partially lethal injury. Keep in mind that the last 2 (booterand + picking up the pieces) require you to have 300 mount skill. This means you'd have to spend 5000g to learn this skill before those quests become available. Gathering If you are a miner, skinner, herbalist, or engineer a good way to earn an extra buck outside of raid time is to gather materials. Whether purely for your own use, or for selling on the auctions a good gatherer can make a lot of money if he knows where to look. If you plan to use gathering as a source of income it's highly recommended to buy a fast flying mount as soon as possible. Without a 310% speed mount you may not find gathering to be worth your time, as you'll have a hard time competing with people who are a lot faster by air than you would be. On my server, fel iron bars are about 20g per stack, and adamantite about 30g per stack. Prices may fluctuate. Most people sell bars, however prospecting is quite profitable as well. Prospecting a stack of 100 adamantite (50g worth) ore may yield you an average 1-3 blue gems with a value between 10-80g, as well as several green gems, and some adamantite powder. I fear i haven't actively mined in a good while, but on average i'd say 100-200 ore per hour is quite doable. This may seem low at first, but keeping in mind that while farming adamantite you'll also get the occassional khorium vein, several random gems, motes of earth by the dozen, and eternium which sells for over 10g per bar. Herbalism is another good gathering profession, and again it helps to have a fast mount. Most popular herb sell for between 15-60g per stack. Even the common trash felweed can easily sell for 10g per stack. Terocone, Netherbloom, Ancient lichen also sell very well. You'd have to check the AH on your own server for comparing prices however. More to come later, stay tuned.

Free to play - Forever?

There's a new trend originating from asia, and it's slowly growing in support. Free to play, some of them supposedly forever. I'm sure you've heard of them or seen the advertisements here 'n there. Most of them will be showing off a banner with a large breasted scantily clad girl so you will most likely not remember the title of the game. I'll forgive you if you can't remember any either, it took me a while too... Here's a small list of such games. Some of the more well known (or rather, better advertised) ones are * Fiesta * Fly for fun * Gaia online * Nostale * Rappelz * Red Stone * Tales of Pirates And there are countless more. If at any time you've considered playing such a game, you should keep keep in mind a very important things. Firstly, "free to play", is just that. It's free to play, but definitely not forever. * The game is likely in a beta phase, and the company that created it wants to attract customers in order for the game to grow big and popular. Once they are satisfied with the product the game subscription may change without warning. * The game likely doesn't offer you all features, and the company will most likely have a form of "item shop" where you can buy items that may improve your game experience in a variety of ways. * If the number of players at any time is too low, they can shut down the game completely in a matter of days or weeks. * Customer support is generally poor or simply non existent. * Botting, hacking and scamming are well known issues which are often poorly battled by the Game Masters. I remember playing Ragnarock for some time, and if you remember the amount of cheating going on in Diablo 2, well. there you go. I definitely can't recommend it unless you enjoy playing an incomplete poorly supported game with 12-14 year olds all day. Secondly, "free to play-forever" is basically the same as the first type but with a few subtle differences. * Customer support is even worse. Companies that make games such as these have as little staff as possible in order to keep the game profitable. * The "forever" part only means "for as long as we make a profit out of it", if the game is no longer profitable they'll simply pull the plug. Just because they say it's forever doesn't mean it's usually very long. Just have a look over at GU Comics and pay attention to the notoriously funny fly zapper. I'm sure it's all great and fun for the casual gamer, but if you value your time i urge you to avoid putting any serious amounts of time into such games. Knowing all that, you could imagine the shock of most wow players when a certain rumour started circulating about WoW possibly picking up such a Free-to-Play model in China. Don't fear, because suposedly that rumor was said to be quite false. You can't help but wonder though, what if they "did" go down the free to play road? Looking at the (previously subscriber based) game Anarchy Online, i just don't see it being a good sign if wow were to do that. Let's hope for the sake of our game that it's a very far and distant future.

Activision & Blizzard

This is yesterday's news so bear with me, so I'm sure you've read all about it on the usual Sites by now, but what does this mean in the end? Activision, as you may or may not know, is currently one of the biggest computer game publishers in the world. Second to EA. Founded 1 oktober 1979, they've produced games for the good old nostalgic Atari system, Commodore, Sega and more. A few well known titles include: * Doom * Quake * Wolfenstein * The Tony Hawks pro skater series They have quite a few action/shooter games to their name. Blizzard is working on a game called "StarCraft Ghost". I don't see the link on the blizzard website currently, so feel free to point out where it's currently located. Which is supposedly an action/shooter game which will be released for several game consoles. I wouldn't be too suprised if the Activision game department will have a hand in the production process of this game. And seemingly others to come.

How to make gold - 1

Gold, the lifeblood of the Wow economy. Many people will remember the first time they finally had "one whole gold" to call their own. Soon it became 10. 100. 1,000. 10,000 But some, they never go above a certain value. Tanks and healers are mostly affected with this. But why, seriously? Why do some people have such a hard time getting money? As of patch 2.3 one of the changes that were implemented was the 33% spell damage from healing gear. So any healer with 1500 to +healing will now also have +500 spell damage. This change was welcomed by any and every healing class for obvious reasons, they could finally grind to a certain extent while simply swapping out 2-3 pieces of their lowest +healing items to get some extra spell damage out. Blizzard mainly did it for that purpose, making all classes and specs more equal for solo grinding. Aside that, they also greatly helped our healers who were struggling on Leotheras the Blind(SSC). And, made a lot of hybrid classes ridiculously overpowered in pvp. But, i digress. To an extent it's easy to see who has a hard time getting money. Just look around and you'll see people with over 100 played days flying around on a 60% speed mount. They are either casual players, or have an uncontrollable addiction for the auction house. Such players will at some point notice the disgusting slime that is known to many of us as "goldsellers". I absolutely loathe the scum. I'd fly over to wherever the damn creeps hang out and give them a good old fashioned kick in the nuts. Sadly not everyone shares this loathing, else they wouldn't spend all day creating bots to spam the bank with their crap. Just log on to any server, go to orgrimmar or ironforge and wait 5 minutes. I personally guarantee that you'll be spammed, possibly more than once. On a side note, I've added the ToS violation / bad google adds list from WowWiki : http://www.wowwiki.com/WoWWiki:Bad_ads So if at any time you see or notice a goldseller link on this blog, let me know and i'll kick it off faster than you can think of complaining about it twice. A recent trend in the goldselling business is to create lvl 1 alts, and invite about 5-10 people into a raid, then spam them all together. This seems rather inefficient, as i simply decline all invited by default. But aparently it works for some of the more unsuspecting casual players else they wouldn't be doing it still. If you're getting pretty tired of the spam, I recommend taking a look at http://www.curse.com or another interface addon site and look for some spam blocking. I've used spamsentry for a while until 2.2 was released : http://www.curse.com/downloads/details/10237/ and it seems to do the trick fairly well. Never buy gold, no matter how cheap their prices may seem to you. Even if you stole your mother's credit card and the money isn't your own anyway. Never ever buy gold, for these simple reasons: * At least half of all goldseller websites are scammers. You pay them, but don't get the gold. * Most of the other half doesn't even sell gold, but instead try to infect you with a trojan virus. The virus will then attempt to read your account name and password, and allow those same scammers i listed in #1 to take your gold and sell it to somebody else. At least 25% of all wow gold that is sold to players, is actually stolen from other players by the use of a trojan virus. By buying gold you are screwing over those players and helping the goldsellers ruin the game. * Goldsellers use bots, bots farm 24/7 and inflate the economy. More gold in the economy means that honest players will have a harder time getting money, and thus are more likely to have to buy gold to compete with the other players. It's an evil circle right there. * It's damn easy to get cash. What? That's right, it's damn easy to get gold in wow. It just doesn't work if you're a lazy bum that has to steal his mother's credit card to even play the game. More details on making gold without the help of some dark evil website later. And unlike the crap posted by some scum that will charge you 15$ or whatever to read some stupid guide filled to the brim with common knowledge. it's completely free !

Patch 2.3.2

That's right, its coming. Or as blizzard likes to say : Soon (TM) I was expecting it last wednesday, but go figure.... no patch. So we're still holding out on guild invites for the moment. Why, you may ask. Patch 2.3.0 gave us the much anticipated guild banks. Being the rich skank that i am ingame... ofcourse I had to made a private guild bank on one of my alts. 500 slots of storage, and her normal ~120+90 bagslots. Sadly it's already almost full again... But at least i was able to delete 2 character slots to make room for a Deathknight later next year. Anyway, the bug allows a new guild member to hold his old guild's bank permissions. Well, it's not very common knowledge, but according to this post it's pretty serious. http://www.wowinsider.com/2007/11/22/robbing-the-guild-bank/ There have been several complaints on the official blizzard forums about this issue, some complaining about having been completely emptied. I managed to find a blue response: This issue is penciled in to be corrected for patch 2.3.2, as it is an issue with the game client, and not possible to correct with a hotfix. So... hopefully this patch will be released soon. Keep an eye on these for now : * http://a.wirebrain.de/wow/ * http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors Then again... if you ever read : http://www.mmo-champion.com/ or http://www.worldofraids.com/ The list of known issues for 2.3.2 is rather big. • Shaman grounding totem causes player to stand up. • Stormwind bank does not work. • The tooltip for icy veins is misleading. • summoning eye of kilrog causes warlock pet to despawn. • Hunter Volley Animation has reverted to pre-2.3 graphics. • Tracking abilities do not work correctly from high altitude. • There is a token in the tooltip for hunter snake trap. • Warrior talent defiance is not giving expertise. • Polymorph is sharing the same diminishing return countdown as Sap,Chastise and Gouge. • Crusader strike works inconsistently on the Zul'jin encounter in Zul'Aman. • Rank 1-5 of hunter arcane shot are not doing more damage as indicated in the patch notes. • Priest ability pain suppression is increasing the chance to resist dispell on hostile spells. • Druid leader of the pack buff is persisting after leaving feral form.Summoning a felguard after re-specing causing the felguard to remain stunned. • Rogue cloak of shadows is not giving 90% spell resistance. • Hunter auto-shot toggles off when no longer facing the target. • Paladin Improved Concentration aura and Spiritual focus are not preventing spell pushback. • You cannot re-capture the irondeep mine in alterac valley. • Players are getting multiple mails for the collectors edition pet. • Information in the book "peeling the onion" is no longer acurate. • Beast Lord Helm inappropriately hides troll tusks. • Black bow of the betrayer breaks scatter shot. • Season 2 and Tier 5 priest helms are too large on undead males. • Mark of Vindication is not restoring mana. • Vindicators leather boots do not match the rest of the vindicators leather set. • Undead female off-hand weapons are held wrong. • Warlock season 3 helmet does not match the rest of the set. • PVP trinket cannot be used to break rogue Sap. • Hair is shown inconsistently on druid arean and T6 helmets. • Warlock pets are despawned on the boats and no soul shard is refunded. • There is a moongraze buck in the middle of the exodar. • Auto-attack is not advancing /castsequence macros in the same way that auto-shot does. • The new ! command in macros is not working as described in the patch notes. • Pet character sheet is not displayed correctly. • Missing text in the mage iceblock tooltip. • LUA error on the pet paperdoll frame. • LUA error when socketing items.
