This friday they came knockin' at my door.
Joy and glee, I didn't even set the christmas tree.
Three whole boxes, not a single one more.
I can show you a few Jpgs, but they really don't do justice to what I'm looking at right now. 2048x1152 Wide screen, insetad of 800x600. All video settings to high, instead of the lowest possible.
It's a world of difference really.
The only annoying part however, was that this thing doesn't have any PS/2 ports. So I'm sort of stuck with the default, flat, ugly dell keyboard on which the keys are all in the wrong place... I'll order a G11 or G15 later. along with some new headphones on which I've still been slacking. I tell you, it's hard to find good ones that don't cost 140 euros...
Did set up some nice speakers though. Great sound from those.

ReplyDeleteI had the joy a month ago to get a new computer and I was just amazed at the graphics and how the world looks!
Only bad side is on my old crappy computer if I couldn't see the ground I knew it was instant death, on my new computer I still apply this rule, only to find, I can see very very far, and thus died a lot the first few days with my new computer, by jumping off of "hills" and thinking it wasn't that far down.

Ooh - computer envy. Very nice! One thing I do like about WoW is that it will play on just about anything. I bet it would play on my watch if someone would just compile for it.

ReplyDeleteThough i suspect you were referring to something like this. It's an option but I was planning on buying a Logitech G11 or G15 soon, so it won't matter much in a while. My current keyboard is rather nice tho :> But it 'is' getting rather old.
